Members of Canberra's own youth choreographic ensemble, Quantum Leap,  are busy preparing for 'Hot to Trot' -   a project where they  create short works to be performed by other Quantum Leap dancers. For some, this is their first choreographic effort; while some have choreographed works for several years before they set off for tertiary dance studies.

The project aims to develop choreographic awareness in young dancers as soon as possible — moving beyond just ‘doing the steps’, to making meaningful dance.

This year, Hot To Trot will include new short works by:

Sam Maxted
Simon Read & Jake Kuzma
Amy Peacock
Tamar Peacock
Ashley Hamilton
Emma & James Batchelor
Paul Jackson
Moriya Rosenberg & Lauren Grow

The short works will be shown in a one-hour performance repeated four times  over the weekend Saturday and Sunday 29 & 30 November.

Hot to Trot is a favourite with Canberra audiences and in recent years has played to sell out crowds.

Bring your family and make a night of it!

"An evening of dance of surprising depth and quality, performed with commitment and passion."

Here's some snaps from last year's Hot to Trot.
