Richard Cilli, Interim Chair
Richard Cilli combines his expertise as a dancer with his passion for coaching, culture and excellence as Sydney Dance Company’s Rehearsal Director. In this role he enjoys holding space for many talented and dedicated artists at the top of their game to keep developing their craft. As a dancer himself Richard won the prestigious Helpmann Award for Best Male Dancer in 2010 for his performance in Rafael Bonachela’s We Unfold, and was also the winner of the Australian Ballet’s 50th Anniversary Ballet Competition in 2012.
Throughout his performing career, Richard has interpreted the work of an impressive array of choreographers, including Rafael Bonachela, Lloyd Newson, Stephanie Lake, William Forsythe, Anouk van Dijk, Jacopo Godani, Lucy Guerin, Gideon Obarzanek, Alexander Ekman, Adam Linder, Emanuel Gat and Kenneth Kvarnström. Beyond his years as a dancer at Sydney Dance Company, Richard has performed with renowned companies such as Rambert (UK), Chunky Move, Lucy Guerin Inc, Australasian Dance Collective, Dancenorth, and K.Kvarnström & Co (Sweden).
Born on Whadjuk Noongar country (Perth), Richard trained at the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and Taipei National University of the Arts (國立臺北藝術大學). He also studied Arts and Cultural Management at Deakin University.
As a choreographer he has created work for Sydney Dance Company and the Pre-Professional Year, The Australian Ballet, LINK Dance Company and WAAPA, as well as various independently produced works. A certified Countertechnique teacher, Richard has taught at institutions around Australia and the world, including the One Body, One Career intensive at Springboard Dance Montreal. Richard has served as a board member for Create NSW’s Dance and Physical Theatre art form since 2022.
Belinda Henderson, Deputy Chair
Belinda brings a rare blend of artistic expertise and strategic business leadership to the QL2 Dance Board. A graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) majoring in Technical Production, Belinda has over a two decade’s experience in the performing arts sector, working nationally with organisations including Bell Shakespeare, NIDA Open Program, Sydney Festival, TEDx Sydney as well as the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia, Short+Sweet and ACT Hub here in Canberra. Her roles have spanned producer, director, assistant director, production manager, curator, stage manager and stage management mentor and sound designer — always with a focus on fostering creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
Belinda's creative portfolio also spans the television industry, both in Australia and the UK. She has worked with BSkyB and ITV in London, Channel Ten in Sydney as well as Location Scout for the first season of the ABC TV drama, Rake.
Alongside her arts career, Belinda has spent almost two decades in the Australian Public Service, where she has honed her skills in strategic planning, governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. Currently a senior manager leading complex digital transformation initiatives, she is known for bringing people together to deliver innovative solutions and sustainable improvements.
Belinda’s combined background in creative production and high-level business improvement gives her a unique perspective on supporting QL2’s mission—championing young dancers, nurturing bold ideas, and building a strong, resilient arts organisation.
Chris Morrissey, Secretary
B.Ec. Dip. Ed. M.Ed. Associate Professor at the University of Canberra and teaching in the Faculty of Education. Currently, Director of School Partnerships in the ACT and surrounding districts. Previous extensive experience as a High School teacher in the ACT and NSW. Have a lifetime interest in the Arts and began my association with QL2 around 20 years ago when my son, Harry, commenced his career in dance with Quantum Leap.
SARAH BOLT
Sarah is a Bundjalung dancer, visual artist, mentor and health worker who is passionate about growing well-being in the Bundjalung community through culture and the arts. She has established two women’s dance groups; The Nini Nahri-Gali’s with NORPA as part of their Bundjalung Nghari program and in Ballina Dubayjars Mendjehla where she teaches both traditional, contemporary dancing and story lines. She manages Yawarr Ngujawiny Aboriginal Corporation — a dance group based in Coffs Harbour and works closely with Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance delivering dance workshop and as a performer.
richard Windeyer
BA (Hons), Deputy Secretary, Department of Communications and the Arts. Richard has extensive experience in public administration and government having been a public servant and senior government advisor for many years. Richard has had a long interest in the arts going back to his time managing a classical music retail store prior to moving into the public service.
Fiona Preston
BA, Manager, Australian Studies Institute at The Australian National University. Fiona has over eight years experience in philanthropy and alumni relations, specialising in governance, relationship management and communications, and is a certified PRINCE2 practitioner.
Krysia Kitch
M Liberal Arts (Programs and Collections), BA Arts History and Curatorship Hons. 19 years’ experience in the Arts sector. Currently Manager Learning Programs at the National Portrait Gallery. I have a special interest in how different arts forms complement each other.
